This iPhone tip makes a huge difference if you use the Calculator app often. Have you ever had this frustrating Calculator experience? You go to the Calculator app on your iPhone and start entering a long number, but you mistype a digit or two. Up until now, you may have thought that you had to hit C for clear and start all over. Am I the only person who wonders why Apple didn't just include a backspace button? However, while there isn't a backspace button visible, there is a hidden iPhone trick that will do the same thing. Here’s how to delete digits in the iPhone Calculator app.

If your iPhone X is stuck on the Apple logo, a spinning wheel, a completely black screen, or otherwise frozen, one quick method for getting everything back to normal is a force restart. There are lots of different names people call this procedure; a hard restart, force shutdown, a hard reset, or even a hard reboot. What all these terms refer to, though, is the same thing; forcing your iPhone to turn off in such a way that it has to completely reboot when you turn it back on. This iPhone X reboot allows your device to restart with refreshed memory and, hopefully, minus the glitches. This isn't something you want to do every time you turn off your iPhone; it’s more of a last resort when your iPhone is acting wonky or freezes completely. A hard reset is a bit more complicated on the iPhone X than on other iPhones, so let's learn how to reboot your iPhone X.

Apple introduced the QuickType predictive text feature to iPhone users with iOS 8, and it's been a time-saver ever since. The iPhone's ability to suggest the three most likely words you'll use next in your message is a fantastic keyboard add-on, but what happens when QuickType makes the wrong word suggestions? Sometimes our iPhone keyboards "learn" misspellings, or offer unwanted words that pop up before the word you prefer. Luckily, there is a way to edit or remove unwanted words that the predictive text feature presents. Read on to learn how to fix your iPhone's predictive text function by resetting your iPhone's keyboard, so you can make sure QuickType is suggesting the words you really need in your iMessages.

Apple landed in hot water with customers this year when a feature designed to slow the processors of older iPhone models to keep them from suddenly shutting down came to light. Critics maintained that Apple was throttling the speed of earlier iPhone models to push customers towards newer devices, while Apple insisted that the feature was necessary to cope with aging batteries. Now, with iOS 11.3, Apple is letting iPhone users decide for themselves how to manage their iPhone's battery health and processor speed. The first step in this process is making battery health visible, so customers can decide if and when they'd like to replace their battery. Let's get started learning how to check your iPhone's battery health in iOS 11.3, it's quick, easy, and a valuable piece of information about your device. Note that this feature is only available for iPhone 7, 6S, and 6 models.

The triple- and double-click shortcuts are designed to let you easily maneuver through a few features of your iPhone when pressing your Home button multiple times. The double-click shortcut lets you find the recent apps you’ve used, and the triple-click shortcut allows you to quickly jump to Accessibility shortcuts you’ve set. However, the triple- and double-click Home commands have a default setting that might be too fast for some to push. My 83-year-old grandmother has an iPhone and she has difficulty pressing her Home button in quick succession due to arthritis in her hands. Whatever your reason, here’s how to slow down the triple- and double-click shortcuts on iPhone.

Control Center is great because it allows you to quickly do all kinds of useful things like turn Wi-Fi, Airplane Mode, and Do Not Disturb on or off, lock your screen orientation, control playback, adjust volume levels, open your phone's calculator, and use your iPhone as a flashlight. However, some people worry about privacy when Control Center is accessible from Lock Screen (although, rest assured, nothing private can be opened without unlocking your phone), and others get tired of accidentally opening Control Center in an app while playing a game. Which is why Apple made it possible to turn off access to Control Center from Lock screen and within apps. Here’s how to disable access to Control Center from Lock Screen.

On previous models of iPhone, you could force restart your iPhone (known as a hard restart) by holding the Home button and your Sleep/Wake button at the same time. However, the iPhone 7 Home button isn’t really a button at all. It uses Haptic feedback to create the feeling of pressing a button. Perhaps this caused an issue with using the Home button as a means to restart the device. The iPhone 7 or 7 Plus requires you hard restart your iPhone with different buttons this time around. Here’s how to force restart your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.

Your iPhone’s LED flashlight is a great help for when you need to grab a midnight snack or get to your car on an unlit street.
