Requesting and receiving money on your iPhone has been a possibility for a long time; apps like Facebook, Venmo, Paypal, and even Snapchat have all helped iPhone owners with these transactions. Apple Pay makes this even easier for iPhone users—you can quickly and securely request and receive payments right from the Messages app on your iPhone, as long as the person you're exchanging money with also has Apple Pay. No need to exit a text thread and open an app anymore! But what if you make a payment to the wrong person, or what if your payment isn't accepted? How do you go about canceling a payment you've made with Apple Pay Cash through your Messages app? Let's get started figuring this out, so that you don't have pending payments hanging out in your transaction history.

Apple Pay Cash doesn't need any extra app downloads or new accounts to work; all you have to do is have Apple Pay set up in Settings. Once Apple Pay is set up, Apple Pay Cash will allow you to recieve payments quickly and conveniently through your Messages app. Not everyone will want those payments to be recieved automatically, though.  Some people may want to approve each payment to help them keep track of cash flow themselves, and there is a setting in Apple Pay Cash that allows for manual rather than automatic payments. Let's get started learning how to change your Apple Pay settings from automatic to manual receipt of payments. Please note that there is no Apple Pay Cash for Android; only iMessage users can send and receive Apple Pay Cash.

And how can we suspend our cards if our iPhone is also gone? Don't panic; in just a few easy steps you can suspend credit cards in Apple Pay on your iPhone, or  remotely if your iPhone's been lost or stolen and you have access to another smartphone or computer.

When Apple rolled out iOS 9, it introduced the possibility of accessing Apple Pay from the iPhone Lock Screen. In iOS 11, you can still use Apple Pay from your Lock screen, but things work a little differently with the iPhone X. When this feature is enabled, it will allow you to quickly access Apple Pay and the passes and loyalty cards found in the Wallet app so you can get ready to make a payment or bring up your boarding pass while you wait in line. Note that Apple Pay only works with the iPhone 6 or later. Let's get started learning how to enable Apple Pay from your iPhone Lock Screen!

I love using Wallet. Instead of my actual wallet or keychain getting weighed down with shopper loyalty cards, the Wallet app stores them all in one place, no plastic required. Here's how to switch from plastic to the Wallet app.
