Image searches are great for when something catches your eye while browsing and you want more information. Here's how to do an image search or reverse image search using the Google Chrome app. There are other search engines that can be used for image searches, along with a growing number of apps solely for this purpose. However, I like using Google Chrome since the image search option while browsing is easy to use with just a few taps.

I frequently receive Amazon gift cards and claim codes for my birthday or as bonuses for paying my cellphone bill on time from the carrier I use. Here's how to redeem an Amazon gift card or claim code on your iPhone or iPad or on your computer. You'll need to have an Amazon account and be signed in. I used to only watch YouTube when I wanted to do something specific, like looking up a how-to video or watching from a link someone sent me. With so many videos and not so very strict categories, I found it hard to find something I liked right off the bat when just browsing the app. But after liking some videos and subscribing to a couple channels, I began to better navigate YouTube's sea of videos. Now I can browse YouTube and enjoy videos relevant to what I like or branch out to discover new interests.

If you've bought one of the latest iPhones, such as the iPhone X, Xs, Xs Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, or later model smartphone, you know your device has no Home button. Rather than pressing the Home button to open and close apps, you'll use iPhone gestures. We've already gone over how to open the App Switcher: swipe up from the bottom of the screen to just below the center, hold for a second, and let go. There might be a subtle bit of Haptic Feedback when you’re holding to let you know when it’s okay to let go. But once you’ve opened the App Switcher, figuring out how to remove apps and fully close them isn’t so obvious. Here’s how to close one app, or close all apps in the App Switcher on your iPhone X and later running iOS 12 or later.

I absolutely love going on road trips, or travel of any kind, really. One of the most fun aspects of any trip for me is finding places to eat, as well as museums and shops that are off the beaten path, local favorites that become part of my mental "must visit" list for future adventures. One of the best tools I've found for trip research to destinations near and far is the Yelp app. Yelp is a free app that collects professional and business reviews from all over the world including restaurants, movers, home cleaning services, shopping, and even doctors and clinics! Yelp has collected over 135 million reviews so far, and the number keeps growing as more and more smartphone users discover this handy app. If you're the type of person that likes to plan ahead and get the most for your money and time, you'll want to learn more about Yelp, including how to set up your own free account and use it to read and write reviews.

News doesn’t have to be overwhelming. While it’s important to stay aware and up-to-date, there is a better way to get your daily news briefing: the Quartz app. Instead of showing you a flood of articles, Quartz is focused on a single screen that looks very similar to any messaging app, except these messages give you bite-sized nuggets of news. With the Quartz app, you can get an overview of the news and choose which subjects you want more details about. Learn more on what this app does and why we love it below.

Ever leave a tab open at home before work, and then want to find it again later from your iPhone? I do all the time! The Google Chrome iPhone app lets you see the tabs you left open on your computer and open them on your iPhone. Just enable Chrome Sync in the Chrome settings menu, then tap the tabs icon at the bottom of your Chrome browser, and you'll find a desktop icon on your tabs list that will show you all the tabs open on other devices. Being able to switch from one device to another with minimal effort is a huge advantage. Here's how to view your computer's open Chrome tabs, Chrome bookmarks, and more on your iPhone.

As any sports fan knows, there's a lot more to keep track of when following your favorite teams or sports than just the scores. Team and individual rankings, decisions made on and off the field, and where the game is taking place can have an impact on not just an individual player but the whole team. For comprehensive coverage of sports that includes all of the above and more, check out Yahoo Sports.

Typical vintage filters for photos slap on a yellow tint and call it a day. VSCO, a photography app that doubles as a photo editor, imitates analog camera settings to make your images look like natural film photos. The app also offers VSCO X, a yearly subscription that bulks up the app to include over 100 filters and tools to edit your photos to look like professional pieces.

It doesn't matter what I'm buying, I always wonder if I could have gotten a better deal. And by better deal, I mean save more money, especially on the neccesities like food and toiletries. The Ibotta app provides rebates on a range of products, occasionally on any brand without restrictions. It's a simple app that's added only a few minutes to my shopping trips, but over time has kept quite a few dollars in my wallet.

For years I’ve heard about the app Procreate. But only recently was I able to download the app and try it with Apple Pencil on iPad for myself. I am certainly no visual artist, but I was immediately amazed by the capabilities and user-interface of Procreate. The app somehow manages to be both user-friendly and built for professionals. I expected a steep learning curve having used various other design software in the past. To my surprise, a couple YouTube videos and a few questions answered via Google were all I needed to feel like I had a grasp on how to use the app. Learn more on what it does and why we love it below.

Online shopping is more popular than ever. Not only is it super easy to click and have a product show up on your doorstep, but also shipping prices and wait times are low enough to make you want to buy just about everything online. But once you’ve ordered something (or many somethings), you start receiving tracking numbers. And then to check the status of a package, you end up searching through emails trying to find your tracking number again. But what if there was an app that seamlessly synced across all of your devices, tracked your packages, and alerted you about arrivals? Ah yes, say hello to Deliveries: A Package Tracker ($4.99). Whether on iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you’ll always know the status of your packages. Here’s more on what Deliveries does and why we love it.

I hate running. This is something that has and always will be true. However, after deciding I need to take care of my physical and mental health, the one choice I kept circling back to was, "I need to start working out." My schedule doesn't always sync with my friends, so I typically go to the gym alone. And without anyone to spot me on weights or go with me to a class, the best solo workout for me is running around the indoor track. Zen Labs' C25K app guides users who are complete beginners with an eight-week course that can be used for running outdoors, indoors, or on a treadmill three times a week. In fact, the C25K stands for Couch To 5K, and the app aims to have its users reach a goal of being able to complete a 5K marathon at the end of the eight weeks. As someone who hates running, I really like using the C25K app. It's started a huge change for me. I've gone from just hating the thought of going on a run to hating it while I'm running.

I love taking photos and my Instagram account shows it. The Layout app from Instagram helps me combine multiple photos into one collage. So if I have pictures from a party or a walk around the park, I can put several of them together into one frame. Layout makes it easy to customize, share, and save my creatively arranged photos.
